Ben Meyer is first and foremost an individual that loves giving back and helping others. It just so happens, he also has a love for killing himself on a bike and riding ridiculous distances. When you combine these 2 traits you get the ultimate Adventure Giver! Ben is leading the team by example and this time around he wanted to go out to Gravel Worlds to ride 300 miles under 24 hours with the support of his good friend and adventure athlete Josh Eckert.

Josh is an adventure athlete for Adventure For All and just finished his GTFO Process and Adventure For All Trip in June. After 4 months of facing challenges and overcoming obstacles, he has grown into a young man that craves growth. After the Adventure For All Trip he kept asking "when is the next adventure?" So, we asked if he wanted to join Ben on his adventure to Gravel Worlds and he answered, "OBVIOUSLY!" With the help of Gravel Worlds and their giving nature, they opened up an extra slot in their SOLD OUT race to help us spread our mission. Josh is so excited to make friends, challenge himself, and continue his adventurous journey.

Together Ben and Josh will show the world that individuals with exceptionalities should be included and that when we come together for a common goal, anything is possible!

The purpose of this race is to bring awareness to our mission and continue to expand inclusion and enhance opportunities for individuals with exceptionalities.

Donations

A cash donation includes money contributed by check, credit card, electronic funds transfer, or payroll deduction. The donation cannot exceed 60% of your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) in order to qualify as a tax deduction. The IRS requires you to keep a record of any cash contribution, such as a canceled check, bank statement, credit card statement, or written statement from the charity showing the date of the contribution, the amount of the contribution, and the name of the charitable organization.

For appreciated assets your deduction should not exceed 30% of your adjusted gross income. If your contributions exceed your limits, you may carry over the charitable deductions for a period of up to five years.

Your donation may be eligible for a Florida State Tax Credit
What that means is that a taxpayer who makes a monetary contribution of $250 or more to the AFA is entitled to a Florida Income Tax credit of 25% of the value of the contribution up to a maximum credit of $100,000 per year.

UPDATE: The CARES Act: Two New Federal Tax Benefits to Donors

Universal Deduction for Donations Up to $300
For individuals who no longer itemize their charitable giving, the CARES Act will allow these individual taxpayers to deduct donations to charity of up to $300 on their 2021 federal tax return, even though they take the standard deduction. Married-filing-jointly taxpayers will get an above-the-line deduction of up to $600.

Raising the Charitable Giving Deduction Cap
For those donors who are still able to itemize their deductions, and therefore directly write off gifts to charity, The CARES Act lifts the deduction caps to 100% of adjusted gross income for individuals and joint filers, while corporations will see their cap lifted to 25% for 2021.
